How to Find the MAC Address on Your Smart TV

A MAC address is a unique identifier for your device. You may need it to connect your Smart TV to your Smartaira service.


Before You Start

  • Make sure your TV is powered on

  • You’ll be looking for the Wi-Fi MAC address (not wired unless instructed)


LG Smart TV

  1. Press the Home button on your remote

  2. Select Settings

  3. Choose Network

  4. Select Network Connection

  5. Select Start Connection (no need to choose wired or wireless)

  6. Select your network

The connection may fail — this is expected.
Your MAC address will be displayed on the screen.


Insignia Smart TV

  1. Open the TV Menu

  2. Select Network

  3. Select Wired

The MAC address will be displayed on the screen.


Panasonic Smart TV

  1. Press Menu on your remote

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Select Network Settings

  4. Select Network Status

The MAC address will be displayed.


Samsung Smart TV

  1. Go to Menu

  2. Select Network

  3. Select Network Settings

  4. Choose Wireless

The MAC address is typically shown on this screen.

If not:

  • Go to Menu > Network > Network Status


Sharp Smart TV

  1. Open the TV Menu

  2. Select Network

  3. Choose Wired

Both wired and wireless MAC addresses will be displayed.
Make sure to use the correct one.


Sony Smart TV

  1. Press the Home button

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Select Network Setup

  4. Select Status

The MAC address will be displayed.


Toshiba Smart TV

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Select Preferences

  3. Choose Network Setup

  4. Select Advanced Network Settings

The MAC address will be displayed.


Vizio Smart TV

  1. Press the Menu button

  2. Go to Network

  3. Select Manual Setup

The MAC address will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.


After You Locate Your MAC Address

Once you have your MAC address:

  1. Add the Wi-Fi MAC address to your Smartaira account

  2. Save or update your account

  3. Power cycle your TV:

    • Turn the TV off

    • Unplug it for 30 seconds

    • Plug it back in and turn it on

  4. Reconnect your TV to Wi-Fi
