Initial Billing (First Invoice)
When your service is first activated, your initial invoice may be higher than expected. This is because:
- You are typically billed for your first two months of service
- Your billing cycle is being aligned with your ongoing monthly schedule
This ensures your account is set up correctly moving forward.
Common Charges You May See
Your statement may include the following types of charges:
Internet Service Fees
This is your primary monthly service charge based on the speed and plan you selected, such as:
- 100 Mbps Internet
- 300 Mbps Internet
- 500 Mbps Internet
- Other available speed tiers
Cost Recovery Fee
This fee helps cover costs associated with:
- Government-imposed fees
- Regulatory compliance requirements
It allows Smartaira to continue providing service while meeting these obligations.
Smart Care Plan Fee
If enrolled, this fee covers:
- Smartaira-leased equipment (such as modem/router or SuperPods)
- Service protection, including reduced or covered service call costs
Installation Fees (If Applicable)
A one-time fee that may be charged for:
- New service installation
- Equipment setup
Unreturned Equipment Fees
If Smartaira-leased equipment is not returned after service disconnection within the required timeframe, an Unreturned Equipment Fee may be applied.
Additional Notes
- Your bill may vary depending on account changes, such as upgrades or billing adjustments
- Some charges may be prorated if changes occur mid-billing cycle
